Living room design for Victorian Villa

Large and small interconnecting living rooms were redesigned using my full design package.  This was a long distance design so it was all worked through online and via phone calls.

Because of the open plan nature of the rooms, they needed to link together but also provide their own functions.

The idea behind this design was to create a contemporary classic space, that complimented the elegant bones of the property.
Colours were kept neutral, with plenty of exaggerated texture and tone so that the space still remained cosy for evenings spent in front of the fire and TV.

It was decided that the small living space would act as a reception type area, where drinks could be enjoyed and piano  practice could be had!
Deep chocolate tones were chosen to create a cosy feel, that further exaggerated the lightness of the larger living space.
Colour blocked sections in a subtle muted pink hue provided a contemporary style and helped to frame the beautiful bay window areas.  Subtle toned velvet curtains and blinds add a modern elegant feel.

This design proves that rooms don't need to be brash and garish in order to be noticed, the beautiful subtlety of this design shows that neutral schemes, when done properly, can scream just as loud!
