NAOMI CARROLL
Teenage Bedroom Design

Teenage room designs can often be a daunting prospect, as everyone has an opinion on the matter, trends need to be avoided for longevity, but teenagers don't always see that! Along with considering the transition form child to adult and all the functions these room need to provide!
Mind blown yet?!
Well sometimes bringing in a third party, ie a designer, all out war can be avoided! It is easier for the designer to step back, fully analyse the client's likes, dislikes, passions, hobbies, how the client wants to use the room and how they want the space to feel. The designer can then return after narrowing down ideas and go through all the options with both the child and parent. Phew, job done!

This was a gentle, soft and sunny design, made up of natural greens, and fun pastel shades. A light and bright room for chilling with friends, that is cosied up by the use of sage green on the feature photo wall and wrapped up and over the ceiling. There are lots of different features, such as the colour blocking, creative rug, funky blinds and pegboard wall; where photos can be added and changed using bulldog clips on pegs, so that no mess or damage will be made to the actual walls! Lights above highlight this area, and the indulgent fluffy, chair makes a great place to rest. Lots of fun and quirky design led pieces have been sourced to inject a quiet humour into the space without it being brash.

A gentle concept, that still includes fun and funky elements without being too loud

Bespoke fitted wardrobes, desk and dressing table area were designed to make the best use of the space, zone the different areas and hide away all the clutter!
Painted the same colour as the walls so they just blend in seamlessly.
