Young Adult Bedroom Design

This design was more of a young adult's design than teenage bedroom design.  Another transitional stage that needs to tick a multitude of boxes!

The vibe here was contemporary but with an effortless feeling of grandeur!

It was a design to encourage a feeling of light and space. As the room faces Northwest I chose a white with red undertones for warmth, and a slightly deeper tone for the wardrobes, just to give that subtle difference in colour.  The wardrobes, dressing table and desk are a bespoke design to ensure that every inch of space was fully utilised.

Lots of different textures were used to add interest to this cool neutral space; velvets, linen, wools and sheepskins. It's of upmost importance in any scheme, but a neutral scheme especially, that numerous textures are used to stop the room from feeling flat It's also important that those textures feel good as well as look good too!

Simplistic elegance were two other words that drove the scheme.
A simple long mirror with a fun take on traditional wall lights to make sure you always have the best lighting! The circular rug zones this area.

Because of the desk and lack of wall space, choosing a window treatment was a little tricky.  I decided to go for a long single curtain that pulls right away from the window, allowing as much light in as possible and making use of this blank wall.

The shelves house the client's favourite prints and hanging plants. All these subtle details add extra layers to this beautifully delicate, neutral scheme.
This project was covered by my full design package and performed virtually via emails and phone calls
